6/8にご紹介した反対咬合症例の、上顎咬合面観です。

 

RME（急速上顎拡大装置）を使用し、成長期の上顎にアプローチしました。
過剰歯があったため、治療中は前歯部に大きな空隙がみられましたが、治療後は安定した美しい歯列へと変化しています。
当院の小児矯正は歯を並べるだけでなく、骨格にアプローチすることが特徴です。
そのため治療後も安定しやすく、殆どのケースでリテーナーと呼ばれる保定装置を使用しないまま経過をみることが可能です。（※一部、特殊なケースを除きます）
これは、歯列と骨格のバランスが整っているからこそ得られる安定性だと考えています。
子供の発育は本当にすごいパワーを持っている！と日々感じています。

 

🦷 Maxillofacial Orthopedic Case 🦷

This is the maxillary occlusal view of the anterior crossbite case introduced on June 8.
RME, or rapid maxillary expansion, was performed during the child’s growth period.
Because the patient had a supernumerary tooth, a large space was seen in the anterior region during treatment.
After treatment, however, the dentition improved into a stable and beautiful dental arch.
At our clinic, pediatric orthodontic treatment is not simply about aligning the teeth.
A key feature of our approach is that we address the skeletal foundation as well.
As a result, the outcome tends to be more stable after treatment, and in many cases, patients can be followed without using a retainer.
Some special cases may be exceptions.
We believe this stability is achieved because the dental arch and skeletal structure are in better balance.
Every day in clinical practice, I am reminded of the incredible potential of children’s growth and development.
